Jimmy Wright’s big black has been to traps on 16 occasions for an incredible 81.2% success rate. In his UK career he has won 32 of his 41 races and the former wide seed, has won from every trap.
But Derek Knight’s Clipper looks set for a return to the racing scene following a 30.00 (calc) 515m trial at Hove on Saturday night.
