Champion trainer Mark Wallis will send out two third of the field for next Sunday’s ARC Silver Salver decider though they don’t include the fastest qualifer.
Irish raider Flashing Willow clocked the fastest of the two semi finals, though Pat Buckley’s Towcester record holder will need to improve on some tardy trapping if he is to land the £12,500 first prize.
The opening semi final was eventful with favourite Gougane Jet appearing to tangle with Knockboy Kay on the run to the bend before kennelmate Quarteira took full advantage to seize the inside run. Impact George was disqualified for deliberate interference though he did not affect the result.
