Belle Vue put themselves back into contention in the Bags Track Championship with a powerful showing that saw them win their home leg by 35 points on Wednesday.
Nigel Saunders led the way for the Manchester circuit with a couple of winners, while June McCombe weighed in with another and there was good back-up from the other runners as they accumulated a total of 71 points, followed by Newcastle 36, Sunderland 25, Doncaster 18 and Kinsley 17.
Newcastle still lead the group on 177 points, but Belle Vue now have 159, 13 clear of third-placed Kinsley, and it will be all to play for in the final leg at Doncaster on December 2.
