One racer at Belle Vue that has been catching the eye recently is precocious youngster called Monagea Express, trained by Joy Andrews.
The dog, a September 2013 son of Express Ego and Millroad Tara, arrived on the scene last month in A6 and after a couple of unsuccessful outings, scored his first success in A7 in a calculated 28.64 for the 470 metres in such a style as to earn him a promotion of two grades.
He won again by more than six lengths in a calculated 28.42 and got that clock down to 28.32 in Manchester on Wednesday as he completed the hat-trick nicely in an A3. Blessed with a nice turn of early there should be more to come from him as he matures.
