David Firmager introduced an interesting newcomer at Sheffield on Tuesday night in Romeo Van Dutch.
The Hall Green trainer gave the dog his debut in a puppy sprint open and was rewarded with a fine win as he defeated Ballymac Zara by threequarters of a length in 16.07 for the 280 metres (Fastest of year – 15.73).
A son of Vans Escalade out of Fabulous Life, he is only a June 2014 whelp, so there should be more to come from him.
