Graham Holland has good news on kennel stars Black Farren and Clares Rocket.
Farren finished last after being badly hampered in Saturday’s Night Of Stars in a race won by kennelmate Clonbnrien Hero.
Holland said: “He actually hit the inside rail and has come off with a leg like a balloon. I won’t know until the swelling dies down, but I was reasonably sure that there is no serious damage and he shouldn’t be off the track for too long.
“As far as Clares Rocket is concerned, he came off sound from his latest gallop this week. I have discussed plans with the owner and I have no plans to trial him in the foreseeable future. The long term aim has to be next year’s English Derby.
“I think the bends are as good as it will get for a dog who has had wrist problems. Even though he had to race three times in a week during this year’s Derby, the old problem didn’t flare up, so we will take our time, and you never know.”
