Peter Cronin is fancied to double up in the two big races at Youghal on Friday with victory in the Rising Unraced Stake and the Business Scholar Southern Sprint.
His Mustang Unruly is fancied in the Unraced Stake. The February 14 David Bale dog clocked the fastest time in the heats with 29.03sec but was turned over by Hegotgears in the semi-finals when he missed his break, eventually going down by half a length in 29.22sec.
However he is fancied to atone by proving too strong for his rivals. Hegotgears can again provide the forecast link.
Cronin’s Dungil Rocket can capitalise from a terrific make up as the only wide runner in the Southern Sprint Final.
He won in the semi-finals last week in 17.87 and can set up as he clocked a flying 17.42 in a pre-event trial.
Outonalimb is a massive danger from trap one after clocking a fastest 17.62sec in the opening round.
Fechin Mullen’s Villiers Legacy went quickest last week with 17.68sec and will have plenty of support.
William Kelleher’s Corrin Matt is unbeaten in the stake after 17.75sec and 17.85sec victories and will make his presence felt.
