Tyrur Caroline and Tyrur Supermac can give sponsor P. J. Fahy real chances of recouping some of his sponsorship cash in tonight’s ECC Timber Oaks and Laurels over 470 metres at Belle Vue.

In the Oaks, Tyrur Caroline is unbeaten in the competition and went well last week on the worst of the going when beating Roxholme Hottie in 28.61sec (-90).

In the previous round she was the only runner to breach the 28 second barrier when scoring in 27.98sec (-50).

Her draw in five isn’t ideal but sectionals indicate she can overcome the handicap.

Last year’s fifth Evanta Evita will have her supporters, while her conqueror of last week Aero Babooshka, the Brighton Belle runner-up, and the unbeaten Chaotic Dolly are others to enter the equation.

Last year’s runner-up Bromwich Sue could spring a surprise in the second qualifier.

Lynn Cook’s bitch is has run well in defeat in the opening two rounds and could be a different proposition from trap one.

Derby Plate winner Domino Storm is the favourite but is stuck in an unsuitable trap five.

Swift Champagne, who won her heat and was beaten narrowly by Chaotic Lynda last week, has to enter calculations along with Roxholme Hottie, who has run well twice behind Tyrur Caroline.

Tyrur Supermac can follow up his impressive heat performance with victory in the ECC Timber Laurels over 470 metres at Belle Vue.

Charlie Lister’s runner scored by over seven lengths in a joint fastest 28.31sec (-90) and given his draw on the fence can see off main rival and kennelmate Stay Lucky.

Three heat winners from last week contest the second qualifier.

Arc finalist Millwards Whitey, a 28.31sec (-90) winner last week is fancied to get first run on Hayley Keightley’s heat winners Roxholme Barkley (28.27sec) and Roxholme Scolari (28.34sec).

Taranis Bolt can take advantage of being the sole wide seed in the opening qualifier.

Kevin Hutton’s runner made Blue Moment pull out all the stops after a slow start in the heats and a decent break can clinch it. Hayley Keightley’s On Alert can provide the forecast link.
