GBGB have confirmed that two owners have put their names forward for consideration as the practitioner role as a GBGB director. They are Monmore owner Tom Steadman and Paul Carpenter, who is most recently connected with greyhounds trained by Ernie Gaskin and Gemma Evans.
The position has become available following the lapse of tenure of John Coleman.
If approved by the GBGB appointments committee – no problems are anticipated – ballots will be sent to all registered GBGB owners on July 16. The count will take place on August 10 – and the whole process will be conducted independently by accountants Barnes Roffe. The new director will attend their first board meeting on 30 September.
Both men have agreed to Zoom interviews to discuss their views. Tom’s will be available later today, Paul’s will be aired tomorrow.
