Reputations on the line again with a Newcastle and Yarmouth double.

On the last trip to the North East, Ian Walton and Brian Usher both came out in front. Jimmy Fenwick didn’t.

At Yarmouth on Monday, Liam Aspin turned over a small profit, his second winning night in a row.

Catching up on last night, Sam Linley bagged a £40 @ 7-4 on Beaming Elmer giving him a £10 profit on the night. Krista McNicholas allocated £60 @ 4-5f on Emmas Angel giving her an £8 profit on the night. Chris Leeson is ‘thinking next week’

NEWCASTLE

Ian Walton and Brian Usher will probably both be happy to talk about decent profits from our last visit to Newcastle. Jimmy Fenwick will be changing the subject. A chance for redemption surely?

Jimmy Fenwick:

Corrig Icarus (R2 Trap 4) A good winner of A3 before last weeks A2 look to have great chance leading race. £30 win

Business Charm (R10 T3)  Won A5 last Friday. She has lots of early pace and think she can take the up in grade £30 win

Swift Buckaroo (R11 T3) Was desperately unlucky last race. A swift start (really Jimmy!) to put him in pole position £40 win

Brian Usher:

Final Mad (R12 T2) has a really good make up. It can lead trap 1 with a decent break and should have plenty room to the corner as trap 3 irenes hope tends to move out from the traps. £100 win

£40 win

Ian Walton:

Indian Reel (R1 T2) ran well in two A5 races, will be finishing strong. £40 win

Udston Finn (R4 T3) Ran a cracker last week, a repeat should suffice. £20

Waltham Magic (R8 T6) Has bags of pace but needs luck in running. £20

Tyrap Bawn (R10 T5) can lead on the outside and stays well. £20

For my picks this evening I start in the  Jura Go Zoe (R9 T3) for Maurice Rice. This bitch ran really well last time out just getting clocked on the line. She’ll strip fitter for that and with 2 slow starters on her inside she looks a certainty to lead up. Jura Go Zoe to make all £50 win
For my final pick it’s a clash between us all! Treaty Bill goes in the 9:17, (R10) for Eric Crowe, this a strong running dog that can also show some early dash on occasions. The problem with the dog is sometimes he finds trouble but I think tonight he can get a clear run around the first bend and kick on coming home. £50 win

Nigel Tanner
Nigel’s first pick goes in the first race with Shesontheway (R1 T4) for David Carter. Nigel said “It’s a very poor A9 and with just a repeat of her trial time she should win this. She’s only a puppy so should be still coming forward.” £25 win
Nigel’s second pick of the evening goes in the Swift Justify (R8 T4) for his boss (Take note!) John Mullins. What more needs saying than he is fancied by connections! Nigel said “He showed pace on debut last week but had nowhere to go at the first bend. This week with a clearer run and more experience he has a great chance”  £50 Win
Final pick of the night for Nigel goes in the (all famous for this evening!) Swithins Bird (R10 T2) for Paul Burr. Nigel said “he’s a consistent dog and if taking a handy pitch around the first bend, he can go on to win” – £25 Win

Lee Calcut
Lee’s first choice of the evening goes in the 8:17, (R7) Bogside Drama (R7 T4) for Erica Samuels. Lee said “She has early pace to burn and I believe she can be out and gone. She’ll put the race to bed early and hang on at the end” Bogside Drama- £30 win
Second pick of the evening for Lee is Active Recruit (R10 T6) who goes in that all important 9:17 race. Lee said “He’s a former top grade winner and with this drop back into an A2, gives him a great chance of getting back to winning ways” £40 Win
Third and final pick of the evening for Lee, goes in the final race on the card, Lastfortheroad (R12 T4) for Paul Burr. Lee said “ This is a very talented dog for Paul and I believe this will be out and gone. The dog I part own Rockmount Ozzy is dropping back into A1 company but I don’t think he’s suited to Yarmouth’s 462m trip giving Lastfortheroad my vote” £30 win
