Someone who explain the rules of Tipsters Challenge to Dave Prentice. 1) Nobody tips 8-1 winners!
The Yarmouth debutant had the nerve to select 8-1 chance Jura Buu (good thing someone could pick a Maurice Rice trained winner cos Liam Aspin never manages it) and was rewarded with a £260 profit. To be fair, team captain Liam was leading by example with a £225 profit. Jason Seely made a £31.25 profit on debut. Decent enough sure, but a ginger step child – nothing to brag about.
Meanwhile in the North East, Chris Leeson is proving King of the Mackems. £40 @ 9-4 on Drumdoit Paddy PLUS £60 @ evens on Jamaica Judge – £150 profit on the night. (The best Sunderland strike rate since Kevin Phillips). Team leader Sam Linley rattled home a £60 @ 6-4 winner for a £50 profit (as per Jason Seely).
If you see Krista McNicholas, suggest you don’t mention it.

Jimmy Fenwick:
Alnwick Dominoe (R5 T4) Grader has give this a huge chance here usually very fast away should oblige £60 win
Deadly Cyclone (R8 T2) Very unlucky in last race, has good previous form prior to lockdown, with level break can see him take an early lead his class should see him home. £40 win
Mark Cranston:
Hot Sun (R6 T2) John Walton’s charge is blessed with so much early pace that he could go well clear early doors. He was only picked up by a strong finishing type last time out but with not much finishing power in the race this week, he can hang on £100 win.
PERRY BARR
A first appearance on the column for Perry Barr who will be represented by assistant trainers Robert Short and Hannah Prince and local owner Paul Gebhard

Paul Gebhard:
Tell Us More (R5 T6) would appear to have a plum draw out wide, in my opinion he is a bit of a “kidder” and his run last time was probably worth a length or two more as the runner up never stops trying and he just kept pulling out enough, his form of admittedly nearly 12 months sees him well in here and he’s only just coming up to his 3rd birthday. £40 win
Token Memory (R7 T1) is open class over 6 bends, but he can also still grind out circa 28.90 over the 4 bend trip at Perry Barr, he could very well get a nice tow round by one of the dogs in trap 2 or trap 5 (a decent dog who is well in on some form but only just gets the 480 and can need trouble behind to hold on). £30 win
Jayms Adalheid (R10) came from way back last time and definitely caught the eye as a dog back in form, simple as that really, so it’s another £30 win
Hannah Prince:
Longacres Kim (R3 T1) Traps 2,3,4 and 5 will all be looking to lead so it could get a little crowded should those dogs come together on the run up, which will leave trap 1 with a nice run. She often stays on strongly and sees this trip out well so I’m hoping she can go one better than her 2 recent outings. £30 win
Slaneyside Wanda (R12 Trap 6 ) I’ve gone with one of our own dogs here. I was impressed with how well she ran last week, after taking a hefty bump at the first bend she had to do a lot of running to finish as close as she did. She’s not a bitch that needs to lead to win as she has come from behind dogs in the past and looking at the race she should find herself in handy position early on. £70 win
Robert Short:
Longacres Kim (R3 T1) Was running in A2 company prior to the lockdown , the staying sort has posted a couple of half decent trials back. was punted like she couldn’t loose last week, looking to hold a pitch on the rails this week and come out on top £100 win
