A double header tonight featuring the return of Mal Shenton – who rattled up a £225 profit first time out.
As for last night, a cracking £75 @ 100-30 winner with Allen Belle for Liam Aspin – £225 profit, plus a £50 @ 2-1 on Detroit for George Turner – for a £50 profit. Meghan Barnard is not available for comment!
As for the Geordies, it was looking good for Jimmy Fenwick with his £25 @ 7-2 on Lissatouk Max which gave him a £12.50 profit. Brian Usher and Ian Walton – well – just average! What can we say?
NOTTINGHAM
Mal Shenton and Mark Pierrepont both turned over a profit earlier in the week. Colin Wilton didn’t – even though he trained one of Mal’s winners! Tonight Colin has the chance to come out of the shadows.

Camps Quivers (R1 T5) is probably forecast plenty short enough in tonight’s opener but she can outstay Fairy Mistress who looks the likely leader running from the black jacket £50 win
If Honour Calypso (T3 T4) running from trap 4 is on song out of the boxes then this lightly raced daughter of Lemon Pumba could lead them a merry dance (yes those were Mal’s words!) £50 win
Colin Wilton
Somerfield Guest (R4 T6) has a terrific strike rate of 38% , looks set for the clearest of runs on the outside of the track and can dominate tonight’s race £80 win
My own Pandarama (R6 T3) runs in what on paper looks a very competitive sprint D2 sprint race over the National Sprint trip of 305m. I believe he could well develop into a very useful sprinter and being drawn on the inside of likely favourite Annaghdown Vinny I’ll be having a small bet to see him making all £20 win
