There is only one place to start, HOVE with its own ‘Mr & Mrs’ contest.
We have no idea if there was any kind of side bet in place, but don’t be surprised if himself is doing the ironing for the next month. Both Seamus and Teresa Cahill went for three selections. Both picked one winner. Teresa’s big fancy was Dinner Ofokia (£50 @ 3-1) giving her a net profit of £100. Seamus had £25 on a 5-2 winner for a net loss of £12.50, which was still £87.50 less than Peter Walker. Hopefully we can have a re-match next Saturday with Teresa also given the chance to humiliate Darrell (which only seems fair).
Onto SHEFFIELD and Carl Perry contemplating his behaviour. Three runners, including two in the same race, and he dissed all three. Obviously he had a 6.3-1 double!!! Thankfully his £60 @ 9-4 on Rockforest Hugo gave him yet another winning night – £95 profit.
It might be time for some mano v mano at Sheffield on Tuesday following two more blank nights for Mssrs Taylor and Wrigglesworth.
CENTRAL PARK
We’ve had a bit of squad rotation this week. Hopefully Mark Fenwick and Spencer Mavrias will be back sharper than ever. Tony Collett is not particularly being picked on merit, more on a wind-up factor against his good mate Rab McNair. Patrick Janssens is chosen for his wise and shrewd judgement, and also because he’s big enough to keep the other pair from squabbling.
The views:
Tony Collett:
Pull The Trigger (R6 T1) He looks ideally drawn in what is quite a tough heat. £50 win
King Louis (R12 T4) I am taking on Forest Alan here who is a good greyhound, but my mate doesn’t like having losers. £50 win
Patrick Janssens:
Goldies Hoddle (R2 T1) He has had two races back for one win. Last time out he beat Goldies Linekar by six lengths and he stamped that form on Friday. I like the draw too, I think he is ideal in one, and Lazy Man may give him some room. £30 win
Notouttheway (R5 T2) He looks a very good puppy for John Mullins. I was impressed with his first look at the track and his times at Yarmouth are exceptional. £30 win
Seaglass Tiger (R11 T1) This is his second race back after a broken hock and long lay-off. He was well beaten by Tony’s dog last time out but was badly crowded and showed a lot of pace. He was looking good to return before lockdown and can only go forward. I also like the look of the race. I think three will be a goalkeeper for four but Tiger should get a clear run on the rail. £40 win.
Queen Jessiej (R1 T1) It is only her first race back but she has kept her condition during lockdown. Her last Central Park trial was sensational compared to other runners on the night. I tried her at Hove and she didn’t get the 515. So we will run her here but then be thinking about the Gold Cup at Monmore £60 win
Goldies Hoddle (R2 T1) I thought he blew the field away in the D1 last week. He couldn’t have been more impressive. See him doing the ame again. £20 win
Notouttheway (R5 T2) It was a difficult third choice between John’s dog and Spencer’s Melodys Secret (R8). In the end, I am not convinced Spencer’s dog wants the red box. So it’s John’s good young pup from a good draw. £20 win
