NEWCASTLE
A battle of the two Jimmys. Steve Anderson will be out of punting therapy by Thursday. Jimmy W is proving something of a blue chip investment in recent week. Jimmy F is more of a fish and chip investment. (Look out for his dad jokes in his tips BTW).

Four runners far the kennel tonight, though none even made the long list, never mind the shortlist .
Lightfoot Nessa (R2 T3) was my selection last time she run and I’m sticking with her to get the dough back tonight. This lightly raced bitch with plenty scope should soon be in command. She is flanked by two novice pups having their first ever races. See her away and gone. The five and six are grand old servants and rate the danger, but I take the youngster to come out on top.
I’ll take a chance that Ivys Be Lucky (R11 T4) can get a clear run round first few bends because that’s all she will need to come and get these. She turned in the best ever position last week and ended up costing her the chance of winning. I can see her sitting in behind these and picking up the pieces late and fast. Bet tonight going for the holiday money £100 double.
Two selections who very close to making the list, Head In Hands (R6) and Lagile Ridge (R9).

Tonight’s action at Sheffield tonight takes in the D2 Kennel Stakes which gives all the greyhounds and their owners the chance to win a nice prize if successful in the final.
Qualification tonight surely is the main aim. That said connections will be trying to win tonight and that’s the reason for the first selection. In the first heat, Steve Naylor is represented by Head In Hands (R6 T3). This greyhound ran a race full of promise on his penultimate start and clocked a nice 16.37. That day he was quick away and they never saw which way he went. Last time things didn’t go to plan and he was always on the back foot. We can put a line through that form as the he’s a better dog than that. I think with a customary slick break he can lead Mata Hari on his inside and Coney Vendetta on his outer. In six starts the son of Ballymac Vic has only once been out of the first two. Tonight for me he qualifies and qualifies as the winner in heat one. £60 win
The second selection is a greyhound at Sandwood known as Benny. A big friendly giant with sensational markings and the most loveable fella to be around. Tonight Lagile Ridge (R9 T4) can prove he’s not just a lover but a fighter too and can take the A7. Yet to win a race for Lisa Stephenson and the team, he’s a greyhound who has got early pace but we don’t always see it. Last time behind kennel chum Willy The Ram he was bumped at the first and always behind a dog in Willy that stays well. Tonight the grader finally eases his grip on Benny and he gets to dip his toe into the waters of A7. In truth it looks a modest contest but a great opportunity for Lagile Ridge to win for the Micky Fitz Connections and Lisa Stephenson. £40 win
There is some very competitive races on Tuesday nights card and a few dogs which I feel will improve for recent outings.
My first selection is Corrin Shane (R12 T1). This dog has been running consistently well in his last 2 outings and deserves to get his head in front. Looking at the make up of the race hopefully he will get a nice run on the rails and come home strong to win. £60 win.
My second selection goes in the Oh Oh Nan (R9 T6). This bitch hasn’t got the easiest of tasks tonight, but I feel the race might be run to suit, with her strong style finish. She is just returning to strength after the lockdown break, and with a few of these not forced to see the trip out strong I think she could lead close home to win. £40 win.
