It’s MWD v KSS for Regency £££ and points

Mark Wallis’ representing the MWD Partnership, is 74 Trainers Championship points clear of Liz McNair and the KSS Syndicate. That deficit could be swollen or reduced by 50 points depending on the fortunes of the top three in the ante post betting.

The Suffolk handler is doubly represented by Ballymac Taylor, who is still to win her first Cat One, ‘Sheryl’ Crow who already has two. Queen Georgia is seemingly near the end of her stamina range having recently landed the Time Three Steps over the considerably less taxing 660m at Sheffield.

Dundalk International Draw Made

The 2024 edition of the Time Dundalk International is on Friday evening. The draw was made on Tuesday, with the final field looking exceptional. Pat Buckley has three of the six so holds a very strong hand.

  1. Unanimouspanther
  2. Droopys Mandolin
  3. Daleroad Duke
  4. Singalong Dolly
  5. Coolavanny Otto
  6. Tribal Syd (w)

The 39.5kg Produce Stakes winner Unanimouspanther has the red jacket. He is not as natural a trapper as some of these but he paces up well to the bend. His large size driving up the inside at the opening turn could be the key factor in how this contest works out.

Droopys Mandolin picked a poor time to break moderately in the Irish Oaks Final. Sent off the hot favourite that day, she can be electric from the boxes and will be helped by a slick exit here.

When on song, Daleroad Duke is a hard dog to hold. The recent Champion Stakes winner at Shelbourne, he set new figures for the 525y at Tralee last December. A middle draw holds no fears for him.

Two defeats for Singalong Dolly at the hands of Tribal Syd in recent weeks give the race some recent formlines to mull over. Those were at Thurles in the Tipperary Cup and while Syd’s draw was always going to be in stripes, Dolly has a difficult berth.

Trap five went to Coolavanny Otto who has previous from this slot, landing the Race of Champions at Tralee in mid-June from five. Friday night’s feature has all the makings of a classic.
