Queen Adele (Tullymurry Act-Skate On, Oct 15) followed in the pawprints of another fine Hayley Keightley trained sprinter at Sheffield on Tuesday night.
Contesting the heats of an 18-runner competition, the 2-5f covered the 280m trip in 15.82 on going rated (-25). The seven length victory equalled the quickest time of 2017 (recorded on ‘normal’) and with the going allowance knocked off, the sister of National Sprint winner Queen Anna went quicker than Brogan Tee Bone’s track record recorded in 2015.
(In fact the quickest calculated time belongs to former locally bred sprinter Joe Louis – see table).
The other two heats went to Shale Carter (Droopys Sydney-Shale Sally, Jul 15) (16.20) with Sherlock (KC And All-Express Cara, Nov 15) making it four wins from five outings in 16.19 (similar going).
