The three RPGTV Scottish Derby trialstake winners were many lengths down on the runners who trialled over the Shawfield Derby course earlier on Saturday evening.
Local A1 winner Fuil Diain (Moral Duty-Ted Set Go, Jun 14) won the quickest of the three £150 trialstakes in 29.50 (+30). The others went to Iceroad Hi Way (29.64) and Ginas Lad (29.82).
However, earlier in the evening, Dorotas Woo Hoo stopped the clock at 29.03 (+20) for on his first look at the circuit. (A perfect tonic for recovering trainer Charlie Lister OBE who enjoyed first night at the dogs in seven months at Sheffield last week). Kennelmate Oscar Whisky recorded 29.05 with Stay Loose posting 29.29.
Owen McKenna’s Hot Trend recorded 29.18 with Farloe Falcon doing 29.25. By his exemplary standards, Bubbly Bluebird was a little of the pace with a 29.38 run.
Others who trialled quicker than the opens: 29.20 Newinn Champ (beating Azzurri Genesis a length and a half), 29.36-Ashbank Puma, & Cahir Castle, 29.46-Droopys Approve, 29.42-Along Came Finn.
