SWIFT KEITH – John Mullins

I would love to think that I was in there with a chance coming into the last heat. Keith is clearly my banker and is perfectly drawn in one. Although he showed at Yarmouth that he can win from six, he wants to be near the rail. He missed his break at Monmore so you can’t read too much into that form. Even then, if he had been drawn rails, he might still have made a race of it.

EL PEDRO – Kevin Hutton

One of those with plenty to do. We really didn’t want Swift Keith drawn on our inside and he was beaten fair and square by Sara in their trial. He simply wasn’t good enough. Second or third would probably be a bonus.

MILLWARDS DAVY– Paul Young

Its his first race back after coming amiss. He has trialled reasonably well but this is a top class race and he will have to be at his absolute best to compete in this company.

BLONDE NIPPER – Mark Wallis

Nipper is our Derby dog and I think he is still a couple of months away from being where I want him. But he trialled very well and earned his place in the team. It is a top class field and I am more hopeful than confident but even if he doesn’t win, I would expect a decent performance.

BALLYMAC BROGAN – Seamus Cahill

I think Brogan must be one of the most progressive runners in training. But like a lot of dogs, he really needs to trap consistently. He ran very well in defeat at Wimbledon last time out but he had to come from the back. But he trialled very well indeed and if he pings the lids, he will take all the beating.

HOME RAIDER – Dean Childs

He showed some decent form before he came to me and has been running well. He wouldn’t have been my first pick for the top 480 if Sidarian Teejay and Millwards Whitey both been at their best but he doesn’t lack speed and is fully fit.
