JOLLY REDEYE – Kevin Hutton
Redeye is a bit slow to trap but has good pace to the bend. We are hoping that Droopys Norris doesn’t take the rails off us but our dog will put his shoulder in if he needs to at the bend. I don’t know whether he can win it, but I would be disappointed if he didn’t manage a second or third.
DROOPYS NORRIS – Dean Childs
Norris, like Teddy, had a long campaign last year and I am convinced he will be an even better dog this year. He is a huge dog (39kg) and this 500 metres, with the long run to the bends suits him. I am happy with the draw and he has trialled well.
BUBBLY GOLD– Paul Young
This should be his idea trip. He was a bit in-and-out last year with a few disappointing runs. He badly needs to get to the rails and I hope he can be a decent point scorer but it is a very tough race.
ADAGEO BOB – Mark Wallis
We used this meeting last year for Bob’s comeback and thought this would suit him. He absolutely loves Sittingbourne and has a great record there. He went well in his trial but he is not really a ‘trial dog’. Races bring out the best in him. . If he was drawn six, I would fancy him strongly. As it is, I still expect a very good performance.
DROOPYS JARROW – Seamus Cahill
Jarrow is a very decent dog but I would have been a lot happier if he was drawn on the outside. He tends to break better from six and when he doesn’t lead, he tend to come to rails and finds trouble. If, by chance, he were to break though, he would make them all go.
SOVIET KENNY – John Mullins
He is a decent class dog as he showed when he won the Coronation Stakes at Romford. He is superbly drawn in trap six and I think he has a very decent chance on Wednesday.
