Droopys Addition produced a flawless performance to win the Ladbrokes Trafalgar Cup Final for trainer Ernie Gaskin.
Contesting just his fourth race, the May ’18 son of Droopys Jet and Droopys Hilda dispute the early lead with favourite Antigua Breeze before pulling away to a 28.05 victory.
Ernie said: “He really does look the complete package. He is getting better with every run and his pace down the backstraight was amazing.
“The medium term target remains the same, the Monmore Puppy Derby in the spring, but given how well he has progressed, we have to be thinking about the (English) Derby too.
“I intend to keep him in training but will be keeping an eye on the weather. I hope to keep him ticking over at Nottingham and Monmore.
“I have been so impressed with Monmore. The track is in such excellent condition and they are always so welcoming here.”
