Gordon Bissett, the originator of the idea that became the SIS/BAGS Track Championship, is keeping his options open for the 2016 event.
He said: “Next year there should be 18 rather than 20 tracks, which means we could have six matches for three teams or three matches for six teams. It has also been suggested that we might tweak the rule on open racing which currently only allows runners with one win to compete, though we’ll talk it through.
“Obviously we are hoping that horse racing has another blank day next year. The main thing that would put the event in jeopardy would be if we lost the support of the owners and trainers, but that certainly wasn’t the case this year.”
