A Greyhound Star Twitter poll asking greyhound followers to nominate their preferred choice of venue for the 2021 Star Sports Greyhound Derby came out decisively in favour of Towcester with almost two thirds of the 1,250 votes.
Central Park promoter Roger Cearns had ruled his stadium out of the running earlier in the day.
The five man Derby selection panel will convene for an internet discussion on the morning of New Years Eve to make their final decision.
