Towcester is to replace Henlow for the Tuesday night fixture on RPGTV from early March.
There are various reasons for the switch, including a recent dip in the Henlow racing strength due to kennel sickness. Though there are other reasons too.
Spokesman Nathan Corden said: “”Moving the Tuesday from Henlow allows the graded strength at Towcester – who have been very patient – opportunities for more runs. Plus looking ahead to the future if we wanted to run competitions with four rounds it gives us that flexibility.”
Promoter Kevin Boothby said: “We are absolutely delighted to be on RPGTV and look forward to working with the guys moving forward. It will be great to showcase Towcester especially now we are hosting the English Derby. It is important that people see the new track and understand how it has changed”
*The role played by TV in greyhound racing is due to be discussed in our next Zoom feature. The three guests are Mark Burridge, David Mitchell and Billy Boyle.
