Towcester’s seven runners were able to force a dead heat with Perry Barr’s 14 in the third leg of the BAGS/SIS Track Championship (Western region).
A double for Mark Wallis (Macs On Storm – standard) and Ballymac Shirley (Elite Standard), backed up by three seconds, a third and a fourth resulted in 49 points for the defending champs.
Hall Green fared even better in terms of winners thanks to Angie Kibble’s Let Me Tell You (Juvenile) and Trapper Kate (Stayer), plus Richard Whelan’s Lemon Vogue (Bitches).
The other winners were Monmore’s Droopys Haiti (Sprint) with a sole local victory for Sawpit Sunshine (Dog Standard).
