Five of the six heat winners, plus a beaten favourite, all made it through to Sunday’s RPGTV Golden Crest Final at Poole writes Floyd Amphlett.
Quickest on the clock was King Elvis who showed the opposite side to his ‘catch me if you can’ abilities by digging deep to pick up long time leader Clash in 26.52 (-10).
Racing manager Mark Shephard said: “It is a good final with two finalists for Kevin Hutton who won it last year and I think the draw worked out really well. There are three railers and three middles. They all look to be correctly seeded and although King Elvis is drawn six, he looks the widest of middle seeds and the draw should not be beyond him.”
Sunday’s televised card is also due to feature opens over all distances including a puppy event. Entries close at noon today.
