I missed a line to quote Maxine Locke in yesterday’s feature “The hardest thing is knowing what day of the week it is.”

I have doubled checked and it appears to be Thursday. So here is the latest picture quiz, along with the results from Tuesday’s quiz.

The main picture was of course Steve Nash’s photo from the opening night of Wimbledon’s Executive Boxes.

The others answer were: Dempsey Duke winning the Reading Masters, Ballyregan Bob was setting a new British record of 21 consecutive victories (the trophy was presented by Westpark Mustard’s trainer Tom Johnston), Ron Mills was the physio, the 1950s shot was from Belle Vue, the Derby winning owner was Derek Law, Aayamzagirl won the Dorando Marathon, Ted and Sue Soppitt were pictured with Droopys Shearer, the Greyhound Hall of Fame is in Abilene in Kansas and the smiling assistant trainer is of course, ‘El Tel’ – Terry Dartnall. – Ed

And so onto today’s:

A tricky one – but will settle for any of three answers. The man, his track, or the type of hare. A further clue? Six Counties!

Ernie Gaskin with two outstanding trackers. The dog on the left started at 6-4f to win a Derby final and was beaten. The dog on the right started at 14-1 in a Derby final and won. Name the two brindles

The brilliant fawn Linacre after winning the SIlver Jubilee Invitation back in 1977. He also won a Derby consolation (his litter brother Balliniska Band won the main event), the Sussex Cup, Edinburgh Cup. He also became the first greyhound to break 29.00 for 500 metres in Britain. All we want is the name of the kennel girl! Wimbledon regulars will surely remember her!
