Two spots separated the heats winners in the appropriately named Doncaster Stadium Maidens Trophy on Wednesday with all three races winner being female.
Marginaly quickest was the Pelaw Grange pup Barnstick Mist (Vans Escalade-Barntick Live, Jun 14) with a 29.74 (-20) two length win over Calzaghe Blast. The other heats went to the locally trained 450m record breaker Petes Peg (Last Bid-Mays Peg, Jul 13) who beat Monster Ball by a leg in 29.75, with B1 winner Holycross Model (Shaneboy Lee-Good Sarah, Jun 14) beating Redbrick Brooke by five and a half in a similar time.
