Champion trainer Patrick Janssens landed an amazing 1-2 in the 2021 Star Sports/TRC Events & Leisure English Greyhound Derby Final on Saturday night as 7-2 chance Thorn Falcon beat Kilara Lion (22-1).

A 25-1 ante post chance, Falcon produced his fastest run of his career to add the £175,000 to the £7,500 KAB Maiden Derby back in May. The Derby Final was the fourth Cat One event of the year at Towcester and Janssens (Blue Riband, Northampton Sprint), has won the lot.
