Dorotas Wildcat was untroubled when making his return to racing in a 480m open race at Swindon this morning.
Kevin Hutton’s Star Sports English Derby winner did not break particularly well (a length behind his best sectional) but took up the running at the first bend and crossed the line in 28.51 (+10). It is the fastest time of the year to date and just two lengths off his best ‘actual’ time over course and distance of 28.35 (+20).
The black is scheduled to be entered for the Eclipse at Nottingham (starts November 12), an event where he was beaten a short head in the 2017 decider by Bubbly Bluebird
