Sunderland is preparing itself for a marathon session on Monday, with 74 racers due to face the starter in 57 trials just ahead of the last call for entries for the Classic and Grand Prix at noon on Tuesday.
Charlie Lister will put Romeo Ballistic, Johnny Vivaro and Southern Mesut through their paces, Pat Rosney is back with last year’s Classic winner Mileheight Alba, Pinpoint Maxi, winner in 2013 and fourth last year will have his first run since April, Paul Young will be there in strength and there is an Irish challenge from Peter Cronin, who is giving Tynwald Rodney and Crokers Champ a look round.
