Bad weather has caused the cancellation of today’s meeting at Sunderland.
ARC Greyhound Operations Director Rachel Corden said: “The North East has taken a battering from Storm Arwen and you will no doubt have seen the devastation caused at Tom Helbron’s kennels. All the dogs fine and moved out to other kennels. We had other trainers affected too.
“Arwen also caused power lines to come down in the area covering Sunderland stadium and we still have no power to the site We couldn’t get a generator as care homes, understandably, were prioritised.
