When Rio Coco (Ballymac Vic-Montore Lady, Apr 15) went to the Central Park 480m traps on Sunday night, his British record was 0/6, five times as favourite. He left the track having clocked the third fastest time over course and distance in the last five years, an eight length win in 28.65 (TR 28.50).
It was a good night for the Derby winning handler who picked up a double courtesy of Rio San Marino (Droopys Scolari-Droopys Force, Sep 13) who returned at 1-3f when taking the 642m open in 39.90.
There was also a very decent clocking for the prolific sprint winner Good Start (Tullymurry Act-Dustbin, Nov 14) who returned to four bends clocking 28.74 for the standard.
Ricky Holloway picked up a lucrative double when 8-11f Lenson Wilson (Scolari Me Daddy-Kilduff Kerry, Aug 15) landed the £500 standard final following Barricane Jagger’s 10-1 success earlier in the meeting.
