The Monmore Tipster challenge has reached its natural conclusion. From a punting perspective – all hope had gone. Saturday’s tipping quartet were clearly struggling and needed to be put out of their misery. The closest anyone came to profit was a -£31 loss for Pete Richards. Don’t worry, it was painless.

Not that the Sheffield trio had much to shout about. To be fair, it was punting carnage: 5-1, 7-1, 8-1, 8-1, 13-2, 11-2. The only one suffering cut and abrasions was Glynn Dobbs (-£10). Carl Parry and Darren Driver remain on life support.
