Newcastle’s Sky programme on Tuesday looks a real treat for racegoers and armchair fans.
Highlight of the night will be the final of the Pinpoint Recruitment Maiden Derby, which has already produced some good racing the early rounds, but there is also a lot of class in the supporting opens.
The Oaks winner Cashen Maureen, who recently changed hands for a reputed £30,000, will have her first run for her new trainer June McCombe in the bitches’ race, while Kneejerkreaction will make his first racecourse appearance since winning the Northern Puppy Derby at the track last October in an Invitation contest that also includes All England Cup third and Eclipse runner-up Maum Legend.
