“In the end we decided to go for quality over quantity” was the word from the Henlow racing office as they whittled the 15 Greyhound Star Marathon entry down from 15 to form two heats of the 870m event on Sunday.
They proved as good as their word with an entry headed by of the top eight bend runners in training: Aayamza Breeze, Mays Maska, Goldies Hotspur and Savana Winner.
The meetings also features the first round of the 550m Henlow Maiden Gold Cup where Roxholme Butt tackles five bends for the first time.
