A 480 Maiden Open starts the card; the Janssens trained DUBH DRAIOCHT was my second pick in a race last week, he fluffed his lines at the start, I’m going to make him my selection to win tonight in the hope that last week’s look around may do the trick, Lemon Wesley is the choice to follow him home.

Next up is a 480 Standard; Bower Luke has been in with some decent opposition, but, if COOLAVANNY MESSI does another 3.51 sectional like he did here a fortnight ago I don’t think he will be caught and I will make him my selection.

Next up is a sprint; not too keen on sprint races but I selected FRIDAYS GELDOF last week and I see no reason to desert him this time.

A 660 metre Open; I was obviously chuffed with DRAHBEG DASH last week, however, he’s up against Brigadier Bullet this time and this dog has been in with some of the best, I’m hopeful though that “Dash” has still got a little bit more to come (possibly circa a calculated 40.25) and obviously he’s playing a home match, so with a combination of both head and heart I’m picking him to win with the Wallis trained dog the obvious one for forecast backers.

Back to the 480 trip; as I said last week STONEPARK WARRIOR has definitely got an engine but he does make winning hard for himself, however, back in Trap 1 in a race where only one of the others has been round the track I’m hoping he will get a trouble free run, the 28.37 of Cracking Blitz stands out, but so too does the fact that he went 50 spots slower the time after, I will still choose him for the runner up spot.

A rare event an 8 bend Open; I’ve long been an admirer of GOLDIES HOTSPUR and she has won over the 874 at Crayford, she will soon be 5 years old but she doesn’t seem to know it! She’s the selection with Bumblebee Bullet taken to supply the forecast.

A bitches only race over the standard trip; EMERS COOKIE took off last week , I select her to win again with maybe Confey Joy the one for forecast backers.

The final of the RPGTV St. Leger;  a truly competitive final where a case at some level could possibly be made for all 6 runners; Skilful Sandie certainly looked the part last week, Antigua Fire has won well even though he’s made life hard for himself, Redzer Ardfert came good again last week, I’m going to take a chance on ANTIGUA FIRE starting that bit better tonight and with a trouble free run over this distance he might just be the best in the race, Redzer Ardfert nominated as the biggest danger but he’s not the only other one that could win it; fingers crossed for a trouble free and exciting final.

Of course racing manager Martin Seal took a different view earlier in the week.

Another Open over the standard trip; JET STREAM SOCKS got absolutely no run whatsoever last week and I’m choosing him to make amends and suggesting Affane Buck to supply the forecast.

A very decent A1; BEST DRESSED has hit form with a vengeance and I select him to go in again, the speedy Dance Rojo is taken to supply the forecast.

A tightly matched 480; SHORTWOOD BRENER is chosen to be stronger in the latter stages and win, Rosden Creep may be the one for forecast backers.

The last race of the evening; the Lambe trained AUTUMN FREIDA is possibly the best greyhound in the race plus the season date looks perfect, the usually consistent Cloncunny Beag may be the one for the forecast.
