Trainer Carl Perry is settling nicely into his new routine as a contract trainer at Sheffield and his Geelo YoYo also seems to have taken a liking to the South Yorkshire air.

By 2011 Derby hero Taylors Sky out of Coolbeggan Lass, a successful open race bitch in Ireland and the dam of prolific open race winner Geelo Sherlock, Geelo YoYo graded on in A2 at Owlerton, was dropped to A3 after a couple of unsuccessful outings and immediately go off the mark. A further success followed in A2 and he completed a hat-trick by taking an A1 on Saturday in 29.04, fastest of the night for the 500 metres.

Saturday’s Kinsley meeting was a memorable one for owner-trainer Darren Fretwell when three of the November 2012 litter by Trewmount Snap out of his former racer Kellair completed a nice treble for the kennel.

Golden Dunken got the party started when he snatched the D1 with a late burst, which was followed by a facile victory for Golden Chat in an A2 and Golden Danielle rounded things off nicely when he made all in an A3.

Jimmy Fenwick introduced a promising talent on Saturday’s card at Newcastle in Invincible Lady, a November 2013 daughter of Aero Ardiles and Some Tears.

Making her debut in P2 grade, the bitch left her rivals from the boxes and made all the running to win nicely by two and threequarters of a length in 29.04 for the 480 metres and there should be more where that came from.
