Saturday night’s card from Towcester is absolutely exceptional with quality on either side of the televised races which range from four to eleven.

We continue to make more substitutions than Mourinho in a strop.

The bookies remain unchanged as the event sponsors though their game plan is seemingly for squad rotation with Martin aka ‘Lofty’ doing the biz tonight. So far Team Star have had two winning nights and two losers with Lofty apparently responsible for the champagne nights.

Having made a dream debut with a £182 profit, Kevin Perisi returns for the owners. A repetition would see the bookies investing in a hit man.

For the media, whose reputation has never quite recovered to the levels established by ‘Nasher the snapper’ we have been forced to bring in one of the big hitters. As RPGTV regulars will know, there is far more than glamour to Julie Collier who regularly kicks ass in their tipster’s challenge. No pressure then Jules.

Last but not least, the charm and nous of Seamus Cahill representing the trainers and also coming off a profitable debut in the tipsters challenge. It has been a massive Derby for the popular Irishman and if there is any justice, he has a busy week in front of him.

The rules remain unchanged – the placing of a fictional £100 on the SKY card, singles or multiples.

Full form is below tips

SAM & MARTIN (Star Sports – bookmakers)

7:16 – Dorotas Wildcat: Nothing original , but I’m sure Kevin Hutton would fully expect to have him in the Derby semis proper and not the plate. Seeing him against Clares Rocket , Tyrur Shay et al would have really been something. Consolation awaits in this though.

8:04 Borna Mindy: I’m not wholly convinced about Cloran Paddy over six bends despite being a Leger finialist, so let’s take a chance on last years TV Trophy heroine who’s showed a liking for this venue and more spark at Notts last time after being off the track good while.

8:38 Aayamza Breeze: With likely favourite Frankies Lady unproven over the trip we know Mark Wallis’ bitch has stamina in spades , hopefully she can grab the rails she needs early on and prove strongest late in the day

PUNTING: £50 Win Dorotoas Wildcat (betting 4-6) £25 win Borna Mindy, (betting 6-1) £25 win Aayamza Breeze (2-1)

KEVIN PERISI (Owner)

8:56 – Droopys Buick: Potentially a very tricky draw I’m going for a smash break from the brilliant Droopys Buick to lead at the bend tonight ? Only his best break will do.. The danger is Forest Con if he relocates his trapping boots.

9:13 –  Clares Rocket : I’m going for Clare’s Rocket to keep up his magnificent unbeaten run. I doubted he would run from the inside draw but he runs a brilliant racing line from the red box. I fancy Astute Missile to follow him home.

PUNTING: £100 double Droopys Buick  (betting 7-2), Clares Rocket  (betting 15-8)

JULIE COLLIER (Media)

7:16 – Dorotas Wildcat: Was so unlucky to go out of the derby and I am not surprised connections are so disappointed – he could have gone very very far. I fancy him overall for the Plate and think tonight is a formality despite the fact he’s in good company.

8:04 – Cloran Paddy: Was one of my 3 to follow in the derby. He’s such a keen dog that would run through a brick wall for you. Back up in trip now this will suit him down to the ground. He’s my nap of the night.

8:56 – Hiya Butt: We know the quick runs plays to his strength (Tuesday was his best run yet) and I think we’ll see an even better run from him tonight. I like him in trap 1 and think he’ll take full advantage of him. There is a bit of value to be had in such a competitive race.

PUNTING: £20 win Dorotas Wildcat, (betting 4-6)  £40 win Cloran Paddy (betting 5-4) £40 win Hiya Butt (betting 3-1)

SEAMUS CAHILL (Trainer)

7:16 – Dorotas Wildcat: I thought he had a decent chance in the Derby. He is running well and looks a good thing in here.

7:31 – Jumeirah Maximus: It has been a while since he was last at Towcester though he has 15.20 form for the sprint. I think he could benefit by coming back here fresh.

7:48 – Brinkleys King: He is the only wide runner in the field and I thought he ran well behind Wildcat in the heats.

PUNTING: £25 win trixie: Dorotas Wildcat (betting 4-6), Jumeriah Maximus, (10-3) Brinkleys King (11-2)
