He only went and did it again. The Essex Einstein Paul Binks kept his run going with a fifth consecutive winning meeting.

His nap once again obliged as Forest Mike (9-4jf) never looked like being beaten and returned a £62.50 profit. Sadly, Sallows Ford was reading a good book when the traps opened and the double was never an option. Net profit £62.50.

Tony ‘Enzo’ Ennis couldn’t have picked a winner in a barrel full of winners on the night but is given a chance to redeem himself. His two fancies finished second and third. Net loss £100

Even though Sallows Ford also let down our debutant bookie Phil Rowbottom, rocked up with a £50 win double of Queen Anna (9-4) and Magical Bale (11-10). Net profit £241-25

Nathan Hunt put most of his faith and investment in three of the five Janssens runners on the night. Sadly, they did not include Patrick’s only winner Bockos Alfie.

A £20 win on Magical Bale (11-10f) was damage limitation. The Romford assistant trainer needs a good result this week to avoid be left to perish in the (well populated) Punter Challenge Cemetary. Net loss £58

So onto Nottingham for an outstanding card and possibly the best individual race – in terms of quality – that most of use can remember, the Betfred Eclipse.

We have kept the same quartet for at least one more week – though at least a couple are hanging on by their fingernails. They know who they are. . .

Although we have a few accepted invitations already in the book, we are interested in hearing from anyone who fancies taking part in future punters’s challenges. Get in touch at [email protected]

The rules remain unchanged – the placing of a fictional £100 on the SKY card, singles or multiples. We quote early prices, but make winning calculations based on SP (since the early prices may be spread across different firms).

Full form is below tips

Paul Binks (Owners)

7:59 – Droopys Zephyr: looks to be the next puppy superstar off the Angela Harrison and The Conlon Family conveyor belt, I can see him exploding onto the open race scene with a very impressive trap to line win tonight. He is my nap.
8:33 – Droopys Buick: is an absolute superstar of the greyhound world and should have far too much class for the other runners in the field to have a race against the clock tonight.

PUNTING: £50 Win Droopys Zephyr (13-8), £50 win double with Droopys Buick (Evens)

Tony ‘Enzo’ Ennis (Media)

7:11 – Move Over Evie: Angela Harrison brings down a very strong raiding party to Nottingham tonight for what promises to be an enthralling night of action . I think the kennel can get off to the best possible start with Evie looking set to dominate the opening contest live. The daughter of Taylor’s Sky moved well in trials and wasn’t disgraced when narrowly denied on debut by Sunset Ranger who runs later on .

7:59 – Droopys Zephyr:  The Harrison kennel can strike again iwith the very exciting Droopys Zephyr, who can get the better of an early paced battle with the useful Sporting Dave next door . Zephyr showed his class when lowering the colours of Roxholme Nidge in the Northern Puppy Derby Final At Newcastle last month, he looks potentially top notch . I’m hoping for two early strikes so I can enjoy the rest of the card ! It Should be some night with the Betfred Eclipse final being one of the best line-ups you’ll see for a very long time . .

PUNTING: 2 x £40 win singles Move Over Evie (6-4) & Droopys Zephyr (13-8) £20 win double

Phil Rowbottom (bookies)

8:16 – Tynwald Baz: Local favourite Baz is another dog who loves the red jacket and he will appreciate the drop in class here. If the Steel City Cup hero turns anywhere near the pace, he should prove too strong for his rivals..

9:08 – Bruisers Bullet: The big final gives Bullet a chance to work with a favourable draw. Despite traffic problems from “the coffin box” in the semi-final, he came close to catching Bubbly Bluebird and he can sit in behind and pounce in the home straight this time. Any crowding amongst the early speedsters on the run to the turn should only aid his cause.

PUNTING: £50 win Bruisers Bullet (10-3) £50 win double with Tynwald Baz (7-4)

Nathan Hunt (Trainer)

7:59 – Droopys Zephyr:  very impressive at Newcastle and a couple of sprint blow outs at HQ confirm he’s in fine fettle as opposed to T4 who’s not quite firing on all cylinders.

8:33 – Droopys Buick: must capitalise on his draw in red. Eye catching in defeat but a slight drop in class can possibly see him pinch a lead then watch him go!

8:51 – Cloran Paddy: we all know what he’s capable of when he gets it right. Let’s hope tonight is the night!.

PUNTING: £20 win Droopys Zephyr (13-8) £20 win Droopys Buick (Evens) £10 win double. £40 win Cloran Paddy (11-10)  £10 win treble (13-8)
