25th June 2020: SIS (Sports Information Services), the leading multi-channel supplier of 24/7 betting services, today announced that from Monday 29th June its greyhound service will be back to full strength.
Following the successful return to racing in the UK over the last four weeks, Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) have announced that UK greyhound racing can move to phase 4, removing the current required gap of 20 minutes between racing, meaning SIS will be able to operate over 640 races a week.
Irish racing will also make a welcome return to the SIS Greyhound Service with racing from 7 tracks (Cork, Kilkenny, Limerick, Mullingar, Tralee, Waterford, and Youghal) bolstering the number of races back to the level pre-lockdown.
The early morning meetings, which made history in 2019 when launched, will also return, meaning greyhound fans will be able to enjoy exciting action from 8am until 10pm Tuesday to Saturday and 11am to 10pm on Mondays and Sundays.
Gordon Bissett, Greyhound Operations Manager at SIS, said: “It’s great to see greyhound racing back to the pre-lockdown levels. It has been a difficult time for the industry, but we have worked closely with our partner tracks to resume racing safely and have been pleased with everyone’s efforts.
“Having Irish greyhound racing return to the service is also very exciting and will help provide our operator customers with competitive racing action 14 hours a day, offering over 33,500 races each year.”
