Sheffield Racing Manager Andrew Mascarenhas has previewed tonight’s Steel City Puppy semi finals. But first, here is a reminder of last week’s first round.
Andrew said: “The obvious choice is Untold Zloty if he continues to trap like he did last time. I was impressed with Pear Drops who ran on well. There is also improvement to come from Droopys Creative who was caught up in a very messy race.” 2-6
“Droopys Buzzer was my selection to win the competition and nothing I saw in the first round made me change my mind. Eze was ran particularly well and should qualify. There is a lot of early pace in here and although I rate Cooliogold, I don’t see how he gets a run.” 3-4
“Droopys Fidget moved off a bit in the first round so might be well suited from two, particularly with slow breakers on either side. Gooner hadn’t been around the track before the first round so I would expect some improvement from him.” 2-6
