Elaine Parker’s six runners were unable to add to her century of Sheffield open winners on Tuesday night.
The Goole based handler is 22 winners clear of Barrie Draper followed by Russ Warren (26) with Charlie Lister the leading ‘away’ trainer with 25 winners.
Two of Mrs Parker’s runners are jointly the most prolific winners with 11 wins apiece. Russanda Brax and Biddys Fire have each been successful over three different distances.
Glen Padden Bay, the dam of the Barrie Draper trained string with the same prefix, is top mum with 22 open wins at the track this year.
Old Joe Golden, out of race action since finishing third in the final of the Derby Plate at Wimbledon in June, could be back in the near future. The Charlie Lister-trained dog had a two-bend spin round Sheffield on Tuesday, posting a promising 15.94 for the 280 metres on going rated +10, which was 26 spots faster than his winning time in the BresMed Puppy Sprint final at Owlerton back in March.
