Prior to the Kinsley leg of the BAGS/SIS Track Championship, Newcastle’s Ian Walton suggest he would love to bag 40 points on his trip to Yorkshire – it could not have gone worse. It was great rivals Sheffield who came out on top, despite one void race, with a magnificent 41 points. Newcastle finished last with only 27 and must now head to Owlerton with the narrowest of leads.
Sheffield nabbed a treble courtesy of Ballymac Sheehy (dogs), Geelo Gaga (sprint) and Fault Finder (elite). Sunderland pulled off a double with Roeview Netty (juvenile) and Polenia (standard) with Belle Vue’s Cathys Sky taking the bitches event.
