We are presenting Mark’s second round clockings in a combined format. There is quite a lot to take in at first glance but all should become apparent.
First – the blue shadings. The darker blue backgrounds represent the Friday night races that were run on -20 going. We are working with actual times, not calculated. There are six qualifiers in that category, the most impressive being Signet Denver.
The lighter blue shading represents the 15 race qualifiers from races rated -10. Once again, we are working with the acutal times. Interestingly, the fastest qualifier Ballinabola Ed emerged from the -10 going.
We have once again split the qualifiers by colour with green representing the fastest third in each section. The orange represents the middle group and the red represents the slowest third.
The filter is based on the fastest winning times (right column)
So Ballinabola Ed was among the fastest third in both the first half of the race (13.64) and the run home (13.43) and was the fastest overall in 29.07.
In terms of the two (approximate) halves of the race, quickest in the first section with a 15.59 run was Kildare, followed by Signet Ace (15.63) and Ballinabola Ed (15.64).
The fastest three from halfway were: Trumps Benefit (13.30), Hello Hammond (13.32) and Romeo On Tilt (13.33).
