Scooby The Star (Skywalker Puma-Skywalker Queen, Dec 12) bounced back from last week’s defeat to land his semi-final of the Track Supporters Club Munster Derby over 525 yards at Clonmel on Sunday.
Frances O’Donnell’s runner was quickly into his stride and was soon clear. He came home four and a half lengths clear of Liscahane Royal in 28.58sec, the fastest time of the night.
Knockbrogan Star kept his unbeaten record in the competition intact by landing the opening semi-final.
John O’Sullivan’s runner flew out of the traps and made all the running to score a two and a half length victory over Crunchie Tyler in 28.73sec.
