The Big Man is whining. It might be because his selection was backed in from 13-8 to 4-5. Or it might be cos he’s an Evertonian, and was born that way? Whatever, Mark Pierrepont £80 profit. Alan Bellis and Terry Urquart had more seconds than a fat boy at a barbeque. A double -£100.
As for the Romford trio – it was a clear case of loseritis maximus. A nasty little condition leading to depression and self loathing. No sign of an outbreak before the Geordies turned up!
Hopefully they drove through Tottenham on the way home. 3 x -£100

No runners for the kennel tonight quite week with the graders. A decent card tonight with my selection being:
The Other Rambo (R6 T5) a winner last last time out, following a break, should strip match fitter. Has that bit of class in this grade. It is A2, but at the moment with no A1 races, they are borderline A1. £50 win
I’ll go from top grade to bottom but winners are winners. Three Kippers (R7 T1) was second last time out showing that a win was due. Improving with each race at the track, he was higher grade at Belle Vue and can see him being hard to beat in this line up £20 win
My last selection comes is the ultra consistent joella reggie (R13) He is an owner’s dream dog. He never runs a bad race and wins more than his fair share. He has the will to win that you won’t find very often and has a near 50% strike rate in this grade and trap. I see no reason why he can’t lead kennel mate in trap 2 and add another win to the CV £30 win

As the eyes of the greyhound world will be focused on a rather sparse Shelbourne Park for this evening’s Irish Derby Final (I would have mentioned the sponsors name, but I seem to have become ‘persona non grata’ after my performance in week 1 of the Tipster Challenge) I wonder if Pestana or Newinn Taylor will be crowned champion?
Or is there going to be a final twist and one of the pretenders to the throne make a last gasped bid for glory? I will be at Owlerton with other lovers of our wonderful sport watching the 14 race graded card, but don’t worry we will all have half an eye on proceedings from over the Irish Sea at 9.24!
For this evening’s selection I am going to dip into A3 action, where I think that Airmount Vic (R9 T2) can defy the grader and follow up his maiden win on debut for Barrie Draper last week. I can see this exciting youngster using his early pace to lead up trap 1 to that all important first bend and getting first run on Chris Akers charge, Dingle Pub, in trap 3. £100 win
Glynn Dobbs
My selection tonight goes in the tenth race, Lostrigg King (R10 T6). This dog looks to have a lovely make up in the six box, with a kennel mate next door in Oreo who is slow away. I feel the King will get the first run to win the race. £100 win.
