Keith Allsopp’s Puppy Derby finalist, previously called Dragon Posse, flew out to make all and beat Mottos Mixer by almost three lengths in 29.72sec (-10).
Allsopp said afterwards: “The dog had a few problems and just wasn’t trapping so we laid him off and he’s come back better than ever.”
British Breeders Stakes runner-up Golden Apple made a winning return in the Betfred British Bred Stakes over 500 metres.
Charlie Lister’s bitch flew out and made all to repel Coolruss Alpha by a length in 28.74sec.
Lister’s litter brother Southern Ramsy broke down in the next heat when in front off the second turn. The race went to Filey Jet, who took over and went on to beat Romeo City Boy in 28.81sec.
Jim Hayton’s Lowgate Jet missed the trouble in heat one to reel in Fearsome Code and score by half a length in 28.74sec.
Spikes Hope went quickest in the heats of the Betfred Sprint Trophy over 305 metres.
Gerry Ballentine’s runner flew out and made all to hold Castlehill Dan by almost two lengths in 18.01sec (-20).
Charlie Lister Tiermana Power rode a bump in heat one to come home just over two lengths clear of Slick Seawolf in 18.21sec.
Pat Rosney’s Graigues Diva went quicker in the Maiden when making most to record 17.65sec.
Alma Radar impressed in the Maiden Stayers Trophy over 680 metres pulling clear on the second lap to come home over 11 lengths clear of Filey Bay in 41.81sec (+30).
Bromwich Tom went quickest in sprint trials over 305 metres before racing.
Lynn Cook’s runner clocked a fast 17.63sec.
Quickest over 500 metres was Dave Firmager’s Fabulous Zita, who recorded 29.94sec.
