Local runner Burgess Rumble ran out the winner of the Greyhound & Petworld A1 Stake at Cork on Saturday.
The son of Ace Hi Rumble, owned by Sheila Spillane and J.J. Fennelly, was soon in the driving seat and went on to beat the 6-4 favourite Glenanore Ace by five lengths in 28.34sec.
Ace’s trainer Tom O’Neill gained some consolation in the Open 525 yard contest when his Lefanta Sky led from start to finish to beat Droopys Camden by four lengths in 28.22sec, the fastest time of the night.
