The six greyhounds selected to take part in the RPGTV sponsored Juvenile were revealed yesterday. With a winners prize of £5000 and set to be staged over Towcester’s 500m Derby trip on Sunday 2nd April the selected participants in alphabetical order were –
ARKADY (MIDDLE) (Trained by David Mullins, Owned by Kelly Searle) – Kent Derby Champion and engaged in the final of the Kent Plate at Central Park this coming Sunday.
BRADYS BULLET (RAILS) (Trained by Belinda Green, Owned by Billy Boyle, Belinda Green, Dave Lawrence & Guy Whittingham) – stunning come from behind performance last week to win the Monmore Puppy Derby Final and is pencilled in to trial at Towcester this Sunday.
DISTANT PODGE (MIDDLE) (Trained by Barrie Draper, Owned by Peter Band) – Puppy Classic Champion at Nottingham
MAKEIT THE BEAR (RAILS) (Trained by Frank Gray, Owner Makeit Syndicate) – the only greyhound in the field to lack a category one success on his CV but was well clear in the void and latterly abandoned final of the English Puppy Derby at Towcester.
ROMEO COMMAND (RAILS) (Trained by Patrick Janssens, Owned by David Firmager) – recently landed the British Breeders Stakes Final at Nottingham extending his UK record to nine unbeaten
ROMEO HOTSHOT (RAILS) (Trained by David Mullins, Owned by David Firmager) – Romford Puppy Cup Champion
The draw for the Juvenile will take place on the evening of Tuesday 28th March live on the sponsor TV channel.
