Ladbrokes Golden Jacket favourite Roxholme Dream recorded a fastest-of session 23.18 (+20) for Crayford’s 380 metres on Saturday.
(The fastest time of the year in 2014 was Monroe Henry’s 23.20.)
However Dean Childs’ Droopys Bear, a 41.81 (-30) winner over Hove’s 695m was not too shabby with a 23.22 sighter.
Romford specialist Flawless Floyd did a respectable 23.41, though Essex Vase winner Adoremus clocked a disappointing 24.20 after a trouble strewn buckle with Droopys Marian.
Over the 540m Julie Luckhurst would surely have been satisfied with Phat Mary’s 33.63 (+30).
